Software Consulting Agency serving small and medium-sized businesses globally. Most of our clients are long-running partnerships to bootstrap, build, scale up and maintain a new software product. In 2023, we aimed to make the company more autonomous by growing our engineers into leaders. The 10 team members are divided into 3 project teams with project leads who report to me. Together with my co-founder, my reosponsibilities include acquiring new clients, mentoring and growing employees, hiring, client communications, architecture design and everything else that might be needed. Of course, I also maintain high-level supervision of the entire SDLC on our projects. Our tech stack is heavily based around Full-Stack Javascript/Typescript, but also includes Mobile technologies (Flutter, React Native). We also operate on the big Cloud Platforms and utilize tons of external integrations like Stripe, Sendgrid, Sharetribe etc.

VanlifeLocation (https://vanlifelocation.com) (~1.000 daily active users) is an native app for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) for finding and sharing natural/wild campsites for people traveling with their vans/busses. Primarily, I'm leading the technical aspects of the project, which includes the design and development of the native mobile clients. Also, I designed the backend (Node.js on Google Cloud Platform) architecture for scale, like using an appropriate storage solution, serving content via a CDN, applying API rate limiting, and various monitoring mechanisms for keeping the costs of the billed services under control.

Parqet is a stock portfolio tracking tool which allows users to review and visualize the performance of their stock portfolio across multiple brokers. I was responsible for the mobile apps and the groundwork of the bank statement PDF parser library. Today, Parqet is a six figure business employing a small team of software engineers.
